How reps are paid
Rep earnings program

Nothing on this page is being paid today. The terms below are the planned program, not an active one. It activates only when MeanScoop has a ledger that records each qualifying claim as an owed bounty (not built yet) and actually pays commission out to reps (not built yet), with real payments live (not live yet). Do not promise any rep, or yourself, money from these numbers until this says ACTIVATED.
How you would earn

For each business whose owner verifies their claim using a QR code issued in your name. Ownership is free for the owner. It would be paid once per business, and only after the owner completes verification; a scan alone does not count.
Commission
20%
Of every paid promotion that business buys, for as long as you are the rep credited on it. It repeats each time they promote another event, with no extra visit.

The market today
Measured 2026-10-02MeanScoop currently lists 42 Tahoe–Reno businesses. 25 of them (60%) have an event in the next 30 days, 48 events in all. Only an event can be promoted for money today, so a business with no events earns you the bounty and nothing more until it posts one.
That limits what anyone can earn right now: bounties on every listed business would total $1,050, shared across all reps. The number grows as MeanScoop finds more businesses.

- Bounties come first, commission lasts. The bounty is paid once per business. Commission keeps coming from businesses you already brought in, so a rep with 24 owners can earn commission in later months without opening another door.
- The full-time row reaches the ceiling. At 40 visits a week a rep could claim every business listed today in about a month. After that, income depends on new businesses being listed and on repeat promotions.
- Not counted here: Deal Featured (its price is not approved yet) and packages (not for sale).
