Section 5 of 9
The Conversation
Open, ask, hand over
One door, one flow: show them their page, ask one question, hand over ownership. Paid comes later.
The whole motion is show, don't sell. The page does the selling. Your job is to show it and listen to their response. You are not pitching software β you are handing an owner something valuable that already exists about them.
The opener (show their page, then listen)
"Keep posting where you already post. MeanScoop does the rest."
Lead with it. Open their page. Give them time to explore it and share their thoughts. The full verbatim opener + demo walk-through lives in the Sales Playbook β use it word-for-word your first few doors.

Get the QR before you walk in. Today only an operator (admin) can generate a business's snapshot and its ownership QR code, from the rep console in admin. Ask for it the day before and check the snapshot yourself: every count should be real and every listing should really be theirs. If anything is wrong, don't walk in with it; flag it instead. A rep-issued QR is on the fix list.
The one question
"What have you got coming up?"
That's the whole qualifier, and it asks for an event on purpose β an event is the only thing that can be boosted. A yes with a date on it is your one paid opportunity. A no still gets ownership for free; walk out happy and check back when they post something. Why the event matters: How You Make Money.
60-second cheat sheet
Open
"I found your spot popping up on social and built a page showing how people discover you. Can I show you?" Then open it.
Show
Walk the page top to bottom: their events and deals, the map, and the counts of what we found. Narrate value, not features. Invite their response. (There is no feed of quotes or reviews, so don't promise "what people are saying.")
Qualify
One question: "What have you got coming up?" Note the event and its date. Keep the conversation relaxed.
Close
Ownership first, free, always. "Let me hand you the keys β scan this." An event boost (price pending approval until the event ends, for up to 7 days) only after they own it, and only if they have a specific event.
Withheld while this part of the handbook is rewritten against what is approved to sell.
When they push back
Don't improvise objections. Every common pushback β "I don't have time," "Is this Yelp?," "How much?," "What's the catch?" β has a tested answer in Objections. Get familiar with those so you can respond clearly and confidently.
